Students will learn the traditional Norwegian art of Rosemaling on a wooden box.
Rosemaling is a traditional Norwegian folk art of decorative painting that originated in rural Norway in the 18th century. The style is characterized by ornate, flowing scrollwork and floral motifs, which are often stylized tulips, roses, and acanthus leaves. Rosemaling was historically used to decorate everyday objects and wooden furniture, such as walls, furniture, and trunks.
